Texas Needs Good Judges

Texas judges are the tip of the spear in protecting our rights and freedoms, applying the law to keep our communities safe and making decisions on critical issues that affect our lives every day, from child custody and criminal cases to education, public safety and more.

Whether it’s establishing treatment programs for drug users, programs helping young women escape sex trafficking or programs improving access to justice for all Texans, judges play an important role in making Texas the best place to live, work and raise a family.

Good Judges

Keep our communities safe.

We need judges who will keep violent criminals behind bars by imposing meaningful bail before trials, instead of letting them out to commit additional violent crimes.

Are qualified, experienced and fair.

We need judges with the background, skills and temperament to handle sensitive and complicated cases based on the law and the evidence. And we need judges who show up for work and run efficient courtrooms because they know justice delayed is justice denied.

Apply our laws and Constitution as-written.

We need judges who understand their role is to apply the constitution and our laws as written and not to make policy decisions.

Electing Good Judges

It’s Up to Us

Texas voters are responsible for electing the men and women who serve as judges in the Lone Star State.

When judges aren’t doing their jobs well, it is up to us to elect judges who will.
